CAP Ireland launches
Over 100 guests attended CAP Ireland’s launch event in September. Many of the church pastors and leaders attending expressed interest in partnering with CAP, working alongside them in their churches and community-based activities, helping people out of poverty in all it’s forms beginning with financial poverty.
Also attending and supporting CAP’s work helping people out of poverty, were representatives from MABS; the Insolvency Service of Ireland and the Association of Personal Insolvency Practitioners (PIPs for short) with whom CAP will also partner on a referral basis. Saint Vincent de Paul was also represented and we look forward to developing a working relationship with them too. Also attending was a business partner with a view to working with CAP in Ireland helping to assist some of their clients with payment arrears.
Launched in the UK in 1996, Christians Against Poverty helps those who feel crushed by debt; parents struggling to feed their children, families facing eviction, and desperate people living without hope. Through our growing network of local churches, CAP helps people reclaim their future by being set free from the constant worry of money.
CAP specialists help people in debt by negotiating with creditors, setting up budgeting systems, and offering personal, practical and spiritual support to those trapped in financial debt.
